The Atlantic Apologizes for Greenberg Photographs, Investigates Lawsuit Possibilities

The Atlantic is apologizing for the actions of freelance photographer Greenberg. Original story here. As Glenn at Instapundit notes:
Editor James Bennet said Greenberg behaved improperly and will not be paid for the session. He said the magazine is also considering a lawsuit.
Letters of apologies are being sent.

Do you think that is enough? The picture used on the cover still shows McCain with bloodshot eyes though overall it seems acceptable. If I were the Atlantic I'd offer to put McCain on the cover again, this time using an actual professional photographer. (Yes that means they would have to 'vet' the photographer--what a sad world we live in.) It would be the right thing to do and a special issue with a special cover would sell like hotcakes.
