It has been a couple of hours since I've blogged about Sarah Palin attacks. You'll be just shocked to learn there have been some new ones in the past day.
Starting with CNN, where they have an article entitled "Todd Palin: 'first dude' or 'shadow governor?'" Skimming through the drivel, er I mean reading the article I wasn't quite sure what the angle was. Were they implying that Sarah Palin in particular is so stupid she is actually being controlled behind the scenes by her husband? Or were they implying that all women are actually weak and of course the man is in charge. You'll have to pardon my confusion. Since Sarah Palin isn't actually a woman, it's hard to figure out whether she's allowed to be successful without her husband playing puppet master.
If we assume CNN is correct in its attack-hidden-in-the-form-of-a-question, then Sarah Palin has been taking credit for being Governor of Alaska when in fact her husband has been doing the heavy lifting. This cannot stand. We need a way to put her in her place. I wonder if anyone in the news, maybe a celebrity, has any ideas. Let me go look...
...ahh here's one. Sarah Palin needs to get gang-raped by black men. Yes, that is the actual suggestion from "celebrity" Sandra Bernhard. I'll link a reaction from the Anchoress.
But honestly, do you need to read a third-party opinion? A woman just suggested that another woman deserves to be gang-raped. (And somehow, it is worse because it is by black men--because, you know, those gang rapes by white men are pleasant experiences.)
If there is justice in this world, these sorts of attacks will only serve to help Sarah Palin. I remain hopeful, if skeptical.
