Biden on Patriotism: Pay Higher Taxes, Assume Marines are Guilty Before Trial

Today on Good Morning America, Joe Biden stated that paying higher taxes is patriotic.
it's time to be patriotic ... time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut."
So patriotism is best displayed by paying higher taxes to help America?

I have a different suggestion for Mr. Biden. When U.S. Marines were accused of committing a massacre of civilians in Haditha, Biden assumed they were guilty without the benefit of a trial. He called for Donald Rumsfeld to step down as Secretary of Defense:
Biden told NBC's "Meet the Press" that the accountability for Haditha and other alleged atrocities in Iraq should go all the way up to Rumsfeld.

"We can't get rid of the president; he's there for two-and-a-half more years," Biden said. "There is a system of accountability. ... When you make serious mistakes, you step forward and you acknowledge them and you walk away.
After a trial, the Lt. Andrew Grayson was found innocent on all charges. Additional trials are proceeding.

How is assuming that U.S. Marines are guilty of a horrible accusation without the benefit of a trail patriotic? How is fueling false accusations for political gain patriotic? (On a separate note, how can Biden be an effective commander-in-chief if instead of supporting Marines he assumes they are without honor and would naturally commit massacres?)

Joe Biden has no idea what patriotism is. He should apologize to those Marines whose names he tried to slander. As is typical for him, the less he talks, the better.
