Worldwide Polls Support Obama--Why Americans Shouldn't Care

Recently an opinion poll released by the BBC suggested that in 22 countries, people support Obama over McCain by a 4 to 1 margin. American's shouldn't care--in fact, they should probably reject this result and support McCain. The following news story explains why.

In the UK, the government has granted Islamic 'sharia' courts to have jurisdiction in Muslim civil cases. That is frightening. People who down play the threat of terrorism and Islamic fascism often conveniently forget cases in the Middle East where a woman who is raped is punished instead of her assailants. In a recent case this punishment was 200 lashes--which is a death sentence. Now decisions such as this from these "courts" are binding in the UK.
In the six cases of domestic violence, Siddiqi said the judges ordered the husbands to take anger management classes and mentoring from community elders. There was no further punishment.

In each case, the women subsequently withdrew the complaints they had lodged with the police and the police stopped their investigations.

Siddiqi said that in the domestic violence cases, the advantage was that marriages were saved and couples given a second chance.
All of Europe there are signs that people are cowering in the face of Islamic terror. Cartoonist offend and are threatened. Authors offend and are threatened. Anti-Semitism is on the rise globally.

The threat of Islamic fascism is different from previous, traditional threats of radicals trying to assert their domination over the world. Panzer tank divisions will not be rolling into Poland. But the threat is just as real and attempting to deal with it by appeasement will be just as disastrous.

I'm not suggesting that the threat be over-played. Personally I think the Bush administration overstepped its bounds in the current fight against terrorism--but not by much. And while these actions should be corrected by a new administration, the correction should not and cannot be a complete cowering in the face of this threat.

If the rest of the world says Obama is the one, I take that as strong evidence that McCain is the better choice.

The USA is now a country in debt and out of sinc with the whole world. You are now the most feared country in the democratic world, why? Because of your actions.

I marched in Berlin after 911 in the largest pro america rally ever on earth (including the USA) rapped in an american flag to show solidarity and support for a country that was deplorably attack by a disgusting group of terrorist.

Within 2 years your government had used up all it's friendships across the globe by using fear and lies to propagate another agenda across the world. Freedoms of the American people were compromised and wars were started with blatant lies.

Countries across the world do not hate the USA, they love it for the culture (tv, music, films, human rights, freedoms) that it has exported, but hate that the USA has been in that hands of people who care only about greed and power.

If Barack Obama is elected the USA will be brought back into the world community and your lives will prosper from it. There will be less war because facts and negotiation will be a significant first measure as opposed to fear and threats. There will also be significant confidence in the US economy.
